Dr. Matthew Isakson

Dr. Matthew Isakson was born in Charlottesville, VA but has had the privilege of living all over the United States throughout his upbringing. After graduating from one of the oldest medical schools in the world in Cork, Ireland he was accepted into one of the most competitive surgical programs in the country, a 6-year residency in plastic surgery. After completing training at the University of Oklahoma, Dr. Isakson completed one of the few Fellowships recognized by the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery at the Hunstad/Kortesis/Bharti Center in Charlotte, NC.

Dr. Isakson is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He specializes exclusively in aesethetic surgery with specialization in enhancement of the face, breast and body. He has published extensively through his career and training including book chapters and peer reviewed articles in prestigious journals such as Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and Aesthetic Surgery Journal.

Dr. Isakson is regarded as an exceptional surgeon, focused on producing results while providing a patient-centered experience. He brings an enthusiasm and caring bedside manner that helps make patients comfortable with their surgery from start to finish. His most requested operations range from his “Mommy Makeover” that includes breast augmentations/lifts as well as tummy tucks, to liposuction with “Brazilian butt lift,” and surgery after weight loss including body lifts, arm lifts and thigh lifts. Dr. Isakson is pleased to perform the full spectrum of aesthetic plastic surgery in addition to his most requested procedures.

While not focused on his passion for plastic surgery, Dr. Isakson enjoys cooking, outdoor activities including running and hiking, and spending time with his beautiful wife and two children.
