What is BodyTite?

BodyTite is a minimally-invasive body contouring system that uses radiofrequency (RF) energy to assist with skin tightening and liposuction treatments. This combination is known as radiofrequency-assisted liposuction (RFAL). RFAL is becoming the preferred liposuction technology because it can be performed with local anesthesia, and it offers similar results to traditional liposuction but with less scarring and downtime. At Southeastern Aesthetic Surgery, we commonly administer BodyTite treatments to enhance the arms, legs, chest, stomach and back.

How Much Do BodyTite Treatments Cost?

The cost of your BodyTite treatment will depend on several factors. At your consultation, Dr. Medina will listen to your concerns and create a personalized treatment plan. From here, our experienced staff will be able to provide you with an estimated cost of your treatment. To ensure that patients are able to afford treatment, we provide several financing options, including CareCredit® and PatientFi - Click here to apply.

How Does BodyTite Work?

BodyTite works using its RFAL technology and a handheld device. The BodyTite device has two components. First is a probe-like device in the shape of a needle. This component is placed beneath the skin’s surface, where it emits RF energy to heat tissue and melt fat cells. The second is an RF emitter, which is placed on top of the skin’s surface where it emits RF energy to the outer layers of skin tissue. Combined, the BodyTite system can gently heat many layers of the skin while also targeting fat cells for liposuction techniques. This process causes immediate tissue contraction while also stimulating collagen production for long-term skin health improvements.

What are the BodyTite Benefits?

The primary benefit of BodyTite is that it can deliver dramatic body contouring results with minimally invasive strategies. Additional benefits include:

  • Eliminate stubborn fat
  • Tighten skin & reduce wrinkles
  • Limited downtime
  • No visible scarring

What is the BodyTite Treatment Like?

BodyTite treatments are performed with the aid of local anesthesia. You will remain awake for the treatment, but the treatment area will be numbed to ensure your comfort throughout the treatment. Then, the BodyTite device will be used to deliver RF energy to the treatment areas and remove unwanted fat as needed. This is done by inserting a needle-like probe beneath the skin, while the other part of the device will emit RF energy from above the skin’s surface. The device will be maneuvered beneath the skin to target the necessary areas and produce the desired results.

Is There Any Downtime After BodyTite Treatments?

BodyTite requires very little downtime compared to traditional liposuction procedures and the surgical techniques involved. While the exact recovery time can vary, most patients are able to return to work and other daily activities within one week. It may be necessary to abstain from exercise and other strenuous activities for a few more weeks.

What Results Can I Expect from BodyTite?

The results from BodyTite will become fully visible in 3 to 6 months after your BodyTite treatment. If you are able to maintain healthy diet and exercise habits, you can enjoy results that last for many years to come.
