What is NeoGraft? in Augusta, GA
The NeoGraft™ hair restoration system is the latest development in the science of hair restoration. Southeastern Aesthetic Surgery, led by board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Troy Austin, provides NeoGraft™ hair restoration, using follicular unit extraction (FUE) for our patients in Augusta, North Augusta, Evans, Columbia County, and neighboring communities in Georgia and South Carolina.
What happens after a NeoGraft™ treatment?
Hair growth is a cyclical process, and it will take some time for the transplanted hair to reach your desired length. It is important to remain patient and follow the instructions given to you by Dr. Austin after your treatment. There is very little downtime associated with NeoGraft™, and you should be able to return to work the next day.
When can I expect to see the results of my NeoGraft™ treatment?
During your procedure, the hair follicles are grafted into the balding area with the hair still intact. However, about two to three weeks after your procedure, this hair will begin shedding. This is a normal part of the hair restoration process and should be expected. In about three to four months, the transplanted follicles will begin growing new hair as part of your normal hair growth cycle. Over time, the transplanted hair will blend naturally with the rest of your hair, resulting in a fuller, healthy-looking head of hair.
How does NeoGraft™ compare to other hair restoration treatments?
NeoGraft™ differs from other methods in that it does not leave a linear scar or incision lines. With NeoGraft™, your hair restoration can be kept a secret if you so choose. There will be no sign you had any work done, and your hair will look completely natural. NeoGraft™ helps achieve beautiful results whether you wear your hair short or long, making it an attractive option for both men and women. You will be able to cut, wash, and style your hair just as you would before your NeoGraft™ procedure. This is your real hair, and you should treat it as such!
How long do NeoGraft™ results last?
Your transplanted hair will continue to grow like the rest of your hair. However, hair restoration methods are not able to stop hair loss for good. Regular maintenance may be required depending on the rate of hair loss you are experiencing. Dr. Austin can answer any questions you may have about future hair loss during your initial consultation.
