Let’s play a game. Think of the most beautiful actress you know and then imagine her lips. Whether you came up with Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Lawrence, or Emma Stone, you probably thought of an actress with full, luscious lips. One of the most important parts of the classically beautiful face is a pair of beautiful, kissable lips. Unfortunately, not all of us are born with the natural beauty of a Hollywood actress. Too many of us look in the mirror and find our thin, shapeless lips disappointing.
Fortunately, lip injections are a safe, easy solution to lips that leave something to be desired. Dr. Austin recommends injectable lip fillers and is proud to offer his patients the incredible results they provide. In just minutes, you can have lips that are fuller and shapelier, giving you a brand-new canvas to try out brightly colored lipsticks.
What Will Happen Before My Procedure?
Before your procedure, you will meet one-on-one with Dr. Austin to discuss your desires and ask any questions you might have about the procedure. Dr. Austin will recommend any steps he deems necessary before your procedure, such as staying away from blood thinners for the week leading up to your procedure or investing in natural supplements that can help reduce swelling and bruising. Most importantly, he will remind you to stay hydrated to give your body the nutrients it needs to heal quickly.
What Will Happen During My Procedure?
When you arrive at Southeastern Aesthetic Surgery on the day of your procedure, you will be seated in a comfortable exam chair to begin receiving your injections. We will apply topical or injectable numbing medicine, guaranteeing that you will feel very little during the procedure. When the procedure begins, you will feel mild discomfort as Dr. Austin injects your lips with the filler to help you achieve the picture-perfect pout. When he finishes, he will hand you a mirror so you can observe the results.
What Will Happen After My Procedure?
After your procedure, your lips will be swollen for 3 to 5 days. You can expect your lips to decrease by about 20 percent as your body heals and they assume their natural shape. Some patients may experience slight bruising. Dr. Austin will ask you to book a follow-up appointment about two weeks after your lip injections to ensure the healing process is going smoothly and your lips are as you desired.
