What Is Belotero® used for?
Belotero® has been approved by the FDA to treat deep nasolabial folds that extend from the nostrils to the outer corners of the mouth, as well as other lines and wrinkles in the area of the nose and mouth. Belotero® is an advanced treatment to rejuvenate the lower face.
How does Belotero® work?
Belotero® provides direct delivery of hyaluronic acid (HA), a natural substance that binds with moisture in skin cells, provoking improvements to the skin’s natural hydration process, gradually restoring lost volume, firmness and elasticity to the skin. Over the next few weeks, due to increased hydration, wrinkles and lines start to fade away naturally, producing dramatic improvements gradually.
What are the advantages of Belotero®?
Belotero® specifically treats nasolabial folds, wrinkles, lines, and creases in the area of the mouth and nose, and adds firmness to the skin around the mouth and nose, while improving skin elasticity. Natural-looking results develop gradually over time for a subtle effect. The restoration of your skin’s natural hydration improves not only the appearance but also the cellular health of your skin. Belotero® is minimally invasive and provides lasting results with no downtime.
Who should try Belotero® injections?
Belotero® is ideal for most healthy adults who want to erase lines, creases, wrinkles and folds around the nose and mouth area. People who’ve been smokers, as well as those who’ve seen damage from aging around the mouth and nose area, will see a significant improvement in skin firmness, volume, and smoothness with Belotero®. While Belotero® is safe for most adults, it may trigger allergic reactions in a small percentage of individuals who suffer from multiple or severe allergies, or who have a history of allergic reaction to gram-positive bacterial proteins.
What happens after Belotero®?
Immediately after your treatment, you will notice improved firmness and volume, and you will see wrinkles, lines, and creases appear less pronounced. Over time, as the HA in Belotero® stimulates increased hydration in skin cells, lines and wrinkles will continue to disappear gradually, and your skin will continue to become more smooth and supple, as if by magic.
How many Belotero® treatments will I need?
While most patients may see permanent results after a single Belotero® treatment, some may require a follow-up treatment after six months or so.
