O-Shot® in Augusta, GA
Menopause, aging, and childbirth can negatively impact your sex life and lead you to worry about urinary incontinence and a lack of control. Dr. Troy Austin, a board-certified plastic surgeon, and Dr. Matthew Isakson, board-eligible plastic surgeon at Southeastern Aesthetic Surgery, offer the O-Shot® to women of Augusta, Evans, Columbia County, and nearby areas in Georgia. We are also happy to provide our services to residents of Aiken and the neighboring communities in South Carolina.
What is the O-Shot®?
The O-Shot® or Orgasm Shot® is a short, in-office procedure that rejuvenates the tissues in the vagina and clitoris to help enhance sexual pleasure. Using growth factors in platelet-rich plasma derived from the patient’s blood, the O-Shot® improves stimulation, sensitivity, arousal, libido, lubrication, and orgasm frequency and intensity. These growth factors are injected into the vagina and clitoris, stimulating the growth of new cells that improve nerve sensitivity and blood flow.
What are some benefits of the O-Shot®?
The O-Shot® improves sexual pleasure, increases sensitivity and lubrication, and prolongs and strengthens orgasms. The O-Shot® also helps to control stress urinary incontinence. Stress urinary incontinence happens when an activity or physical movement, like jumping or sneezing, puts pressure on your bladder.
Additionally, our women patients report that they experience:
- Instant results
- Increased lubrication and sexual desire
- Decreased urinary incontinence
- A tighter vaginal opening
- Easier to achieve orgasms
- Stronger orgasms
- Increased arousal and orgasms from clitoral stimulation
- Smoother looking labia
- Reduction in pain for patients with dyspareunia (genital pain associated with intercourse)
It’s important to remember you are not the only beneficiary when you make the decision to enhance your sexual health. Your partner also benefits. Increased sexual activity and happiness in the bedroom are common benefits our patients report after seeking sexual health treatment.
The ideal O-Shot® patient
You may want to consider O-Shot® as a treatment option to enhance your sex lift if you:
- Experience pain during sex
- Fail or struggle to reach orgasm
- Struggle with urinary incontinence
- Experience a lack of sex drive
- Suffer from poor vaginal lubrication
What to expect during an O-Shot® treatment
Before an O-Shot® procedure a numbing cream is applied to the vagina where the growth factors will be injected and to the arm where the patient’s blood will be drawn from. Blood is drawn from the arm and placed in a centrifuge. The centrifuge separates and isolates the growth factors from the platelet-rich plasma. Once the growth factors are separated they are injected using a very small needle into the clitoris, upper vagina, and the area known as the “o-spot.” Thanks to the numbing cream, women report experiencing little to no pain during the procedure.
Recovery time from an O-Shot® treatment
An O-Shot® procedure takes less than 10 minutes and most patients return to regular activity immediately. Some women may not feel comfortable having sexual intercourse for the first few days after their treatment. In the weeks following the procedure, most women experience a gradual change in their sex drive, arousal level, self-lubrication abilities, urinary incontinence troubles, and their ability to achieve an orgasm. The effects of an O-Shot® treatment can last anywhere from one to three years, with most patients noticing a reduction in the effects around 18 months.
Can O-Shot® be combined with other procedures?
Yes, we often combine O-Shot® treatment with FemTouch™. Our patients find the combination improves tightness, lubrication, urinary incontinence symptoms and sensitivity. In addition O-Shot® treatments can be a good compliment to surgical labiaplasty or vulvar laser skin resurfacing. These procedures can all help complete your transformation to a more youthful functioning vagina.
